The duties of your wedding MC are quite involved. A professional MC will coordinate the order of affairs at your reception without intruding or taking over. The success of your entire nights' coordination depends on them.


This is a list of the traditional MC's duties:

  1. Liaise with caterers and band / DJ

  2. Direct guests to refreshment areas

  3. Seat the guests

  4. Welcome guests on behalf of the bridal couple

  5. Introduce the wedding / bridal party

  6. Announce entrees

  7. Announce dinner

  8. Call upon each person giving a speech

  9. Announce cutting of the cake

  10. Announce bridal waltz first dance

  11. Announce bridal party and parents to join the bridal couple on the dance floor

  12. Invite the other guests to join the dancing

  13. Announce sweets

  14. Announce garter removal and toss

  15. Announce tossing of bridal bouquet

  16. Announce farewell circle / guard of honour

  17. Announce departure of bridal couple

Conditions of Booking

  • 50% deposit is required in order to secure a booking
  • Balance of fee must be paid in full at least one week prior to the reception
  • Fee is for a reception of 5 hours duration
  • Cancellation by client will result in loss of deposit
  • Cancellation by Top-Notch Entertainment Pty Ltd will incur a full refund
