The Guard of Honour At Your Wedding Reception

This has become a popular alternative for wedding couples to depart their reception.

This departure method consists of the guests assembling on the dance floor in 2 lines facing each other. The end of the line is at the exit door of the reception, whilst the beginning of the line is inside the reception room. At some venues, this is also done outside (weather permitting).

The guests then raise their arms in the air, and join hands with the person facing them, forming a long tunnel. The bridal couple simply start at one end of the line, and run through the tunnel, and out the door to start their honeymoon.

The only drawback with the Guard of Honour, is that it is difficult for the bridal couple to thank their guests, as they can with the Farewell Circle.
